By the way, thanks for your comment on Mirvat's blog. Rhiannon goes onto my nerves. She behaves like a young adolescent ... and I don't even know if the "she" is a she :) That aside, "it" should take it's tranquilizers!
I found that whole conversation interesting. What was also interesting is how some people kept changing to reveal more about themselves that they didn't want to.
About the pics... I'll give the details later. Nothing overtly incredible. Just interesting.
ummmm, the top photo is the south end during mayor o'reily's term, and the bottom part is the south end during mayor guido's term. did i guess correctly?
they are not before and after. They are two blocks in the same Beirut neighborhood. One was reborn as part of the downtown renovation while the other still carries the scars of the civil war and everyday poverty. I thought they were an interesting contrast as I walked through the area acouple of years ago. I don't know what it looks like now after the Izraeli bombings.

Don't know - might be a street in southern Beirut, but I have never been there, so I wouldn't be able to tell.
